The Edmonton Oilers are on the edge of something truly special. I believe their General Manager senses that, too, as his strong work during “Deadline Week” would attest. The Oilers are poised to go from playoff contenders to cup contenders. As anyone will tell you, that is not easy. Some of that was in evidence Saturday in Winnipeg. But we can finally see all the necessary parts. What remains to be seen is if and when they will fall into place.
